Advance Copy Reviewers:

Finally, a book that shows me exactly how to find the home we are looking for! THANKS

– Randy R.  Dayton, OH

Long story on how the author finally got his house, but then really detailed info and links on how to do it, most useful…

– Tracy S.  Baltimore, MD

Plenty of nuts and bolts on how to get the job done.  If you’re in the market and want to keep costs down, this is the right resource for you.

– Philip B.  Lock Haven, PA

Not for the casual reader.  If you’re serious about getting a retirement or vacation home, you should read it.

Market Watch

I am watching a selected sample from the book's 200+ links to budget home sales in the Florida market, and will report here monthly on what I see happening.

End of Sept.
No change.

Slight change upward in prices.  Slight change downward in homes available in our price range.  Increases probably due to inflation of about 2% per month that has been going on for several years.

late Nov.
Substantial reduction in homes available in our price range.  Many where there were plenty available are down to a handful or even nothing.  Some have migrated into the low 30’s.  This is much faster than we expected, but there are still homes available in all areas.

No change.  Fewer homes in this budget class are available than expected, but there are still quite a few.
